FOR NOURISHED LIPS
What: Instant Light Lip Confort Oil – Clarins
Why: It’s not a secret that I have a thing for lip balms… Can’t live without them. This Clarins lil oils is a recent discovery and was love at first application – the texture is amazing, a very thick oil that really moisturises the lips and lasts for a long time. I also really like the finish, a soft shine, it could even work as a lip gloss substitute, used alone or over another lipstick (specially the drier matte ones, in case you want to transform them into a moist colour). If you’re still looking for the holy grail lip balm, this is a strong contender! Available here.

FOR FLUSHED CHEEKS
What: Blush in 01 – Vult
Why: Brazilian brand Vult is one the best local options for good quality makeup with a very friendly price. This blush is one of my current favourites, super high pigmentation, great shade that works well for day or night and great lasting power. I used it in some recent TV Beauté videos and everyone asked which blush I was wearing! A brand to watch if you’re planning on travelling to Brazil – it’s sold online and at drugstores

FOR MULTITASKING APPLICATION
What: Setting Brush – Real Techniques
Why: I use this brush so much and had never written a proper review… So here it is! Such a hard working tool – I started using it to, as the name suggests, set my makeup with powder. I much prefer a natural glowy complexion and never powder the whole face, so the small size is perfect for a targeted application. Then I found out it was a wonderful brush to blend the highlighting concealer I normally use for an extra under eye brightness (MAC Prep + Prime is a fave), and then started using it, instead of my finger, to blend concealers that are more on the creamy side, such as Nars Radiant Creamy, which I use almost everyday – it gives a flawless, but soft, finish. The Setting Brush is also a great option for contour, blush and highlighter application, and could even be used in the eye lids to give an overall, not too precise, depth. Tip: I like to do my makeup with a towel nearby, quite useful to clean the brush when changing products. Available here.
