Beauté Por Aí: trying the Face Gym in London

I love filming Beauté Por Aí, my monthly program for Vogue Brazil’s online TV channel, because I always get to live amazing experiences – and this month was especially fun and interesting.

I went to try Face Gym, at Selfridges, a mix of facial with gym… For the face, as the name suggests. The method was developed by Inge Theron, best known in the UK as the “Spa Junkie”, after her column for the Financial Times. After trying lots of invasive treatments and, as she states in the video, looking like Michael Jackson on his worst days at some point, she decided to put a stop on it and create an effective non invasive method that offered great results – lifting, smoothing wrinkles, plumping, contouring – with no downtime. After a lot of research and all of her “Spa Junkie” knowledge, Face Gym came to be – it follows the steps of body workout, like warm up and cardio, has several steps and includes tools such as a mini Pilates ball, a rolling device and other interesting items. See more on the video above!

It doesn’t hurt and it’s pretty quick, around 30/40 minutes long. I noticed the effect immediately and even more on the day after, it seems to lift up the whole face, wake up the eyes… Looked like if I had been on holidays. It’s definitely worth trying. Special note: Morgana, who did the treatment on me and is a sweetheart, is one of the two Brazilian “trainers” in the team.

Face Gym studio is located at Selfridges, by the end of the beauty hall where the Beauty Workshop is (an amazing part of the store that will get a special post soon, perhaps a video tour would be nice!). To book a workout or to get more information:
