Red carpet round
The pre-Oscars weeks are always crazy full of awards, red carpets and so on… I gathered in this post my favourite looks from the last events, to fill the inspirations folder and warm up for the Oscars – stay tuned for the super beauty coverage from DDB next Sunday! Lupita Nyong’o is always striking, red carpet after red carpet… I loved this makeup with sparkly green eye shadow all around the eye and a light smokey a bit darker making a cat eye coming from the crease. Red lipstick to finish. The hair is also always changing, this type a bit higher in the centre, like a punk pompadour
On a more minimalist line… Angelina Jolie shows that the perfect skin + powerful lashes combo already makes a great impact! I think she is one of the fans of the trick of glueing the fake lashes on the inside… remember the video I made about it?
Amy Adams went with a side bun with very pulled roots and a makeup featuring a cherry glossy lipstick and golden eye shadow…
… and, on another day, a hair with the world’s most perfect curls – I want!!! – and makeup with lightly bold eyes and evident blush
Léa Seydoux’s hair follows the same logic as Amy’s, but it’s more done, polished, “fixed”. I loved the makeup, smokey with the cat eye shape using a kind of lilac shade on the bottom that worked pretty well
Helen Mirren also went with a shade half blue/lilac, lining the whole eye
I thought Naomie Harris’ makeup was gorgeous, basic smokey eye and not heavy at all + pretty gold glitter on the intern corner and close to the lower lashes. Hair divided on the side and light waves
Emma Watson wearing an almost trademark red lipstick, I loved the eye makeup to complement – it’s that kind of nothing, but with looooots of mascara and an almost invisible black line close to the upper lashes to highlight the eye even more. And pinky blush
Rita Ora had a makeup superrr similar to Emma’s, but with the eye liner showing a bit more and without the pinky blush. The hair is more well behaved, sleek straight with a little pompadour…
… and here on the other extreme, erased mouth and super smokey eye with eye shadows in a moss green shade + loose hair not well behaved at all and with that 90’s pompadour also known as “I threw my hair to the side”
I loved the eye liner of the British top model Suki Waterhouse (also known as… Bradley Cooper’s girlfriend). Complete on the upper part, only from the middle to the outer corner on the bottom and meeting in a more retro cat eye
And to finish, the greatest muse Cate Blanchett in two moments: night glamour for the Baftas, with the hair tied in a low bun with cute roots and highlighted eyes…
… and with a lighter makeup and minimal hair with a low pony tail and combed to the side front for the Oscar nominees luncheon
